Fabrizio Gallanti

Curator and architect with experience in architectural design, teaching, publishing, and exhibitions, he has been the director of arc en rêve – centre d’architecture in Bordeaux since 2021.
He holds a PhD in Architectural Design from the Politecnico di Torino (2001) and a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Genoa (1995). He was one of the founding members of Gruppo A12, a collective based in Genoa (1993–2004) that operated at the intersection of art and architecture. He served as architecture editor for Abitare magazine (2007–2011) and was Director of Programs at the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal (2011–2014).
Gallanti was the inaugural Senior Mellon Fellow at Princeton University (2014). Since that year, he has been a visiting professor in the MA program in History and Critical Thinking at the Architectural Association in London. He has taught architectural design and theory in Canada, Chile, Spain, Italy, Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
In 2003, together with Francisca Insulza, Gallanti founded FIG Projects in Montreal, an architectural research studio that has curated international exhibitions such as The World in our Eyes for the Lisbon Architecture Triennale (2016) and Libre Acceso for the Centro Cultural La Moneda in Santiago, Chile (2023). FIG Projects has also edited publications including Harvard Design Magazine No Sweat (2018).
His writings have appeared in journals such as Architectural Review, A+U, 2G, Domus, and San Rocco.
