Txuspo Poyo

Graduate in Fine Arts from the UPV-EHU University.
Since the 90s, Txuspo Poyo has followed a certain procedural methodology, with a very marked sense of montage, to trace juxtaposed stories from the research and analysis of certain generational events in hybrid crosses.
All these proposals have been generating stories whose tension resides in crossed images, plots where historical and inconclusive residues converge, together with fragments of the collective and individual cultural imaginary, captured from history, the world of cinema, architecture and science-fiction literature. His works provide a re-reading of modes and models of production and representation.

In 2001 the Marcelino Botín Foundation awarded him a grant for a residency at the ISCP (International Studio and Curatorial Program) in New York and studied at CADA (Center for New Technologies) at New York University. 2006 the Fundación Arte y Derecho and the Fundación de las Artes de Valencia grant him a grant to carry out the Delay Glass project. That same year he received the award Gure Arte del País Vasco. In 2008 he received the Unión Fenosa award.
