U.N(Inverse) - Txuspo Poyo

Txuspo Poyo, guest artist at the main exhibition of Mugak/, will give a lecture to present his project U.N(Inverse).
Through a complex dispositif that combines video, sculpture, drawing, and installation, the proposal explores the myths of freedom, political transparency, and democratic participation. With a language rich in cross-references between modern cinema, art, and architecture, Poyo invites us to reflect on the origins of today’s political system and the forms of representation it has produced.
The work focuses on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the architecture conceived for its headquarters in New York, understood as the symbolic crystallization of a new era. Ideals such as social harmony, democratic values, and the fraternity of peoples converge there, organized around the monolith designed by Le Corbusier and later reinterpreted by Stanley Kubrick.
The lecture will be an opportunity to delve into Txuspo Poyo’s creative universe and discover how his work questions, through art, the utopias and contradictions of our time.
