Íñigo Rodriguez Vidal y Jorge Otaegi

Jorge Otaegi
Jorge Otaegi (San Sebastián, 1995) is an architect (2021) and holds a master’s degree in Timber Construction and Structural Design (2021) from the School of Architecture at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). He is currently pursuing a PhD at the same institution under a predoctoral research contract funded by the UPV/EHU. His research focuses on indoor environmental quality in low-energy buildings, with particular emphasis on thermal comfort and air quality, and includes some work on daylighting in architecture. He has published more than ten articles in JCR-indexed journals and has presented an equal number of papers at international conferences. As an architect, he has worked in Porto with Diogo Aguiar Studio (2021–22) and in San Sebastián with architect Guillermo Otaegi (2022–25). He has also collaborated occasionally with Eulia Arkitektura (2023).

Iñigo Rodríguez Vidal
Iñigo Rodríguez Vidal (San Sebastián, 1970) is an architect (1997) and holds a PhD (2015) from the School of Architecture at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), with a doctoral thesis entitled “Evaluation of the Passivhaus Building Standard and its Application in the Basque Country and Navarre”. He served as a part-time lecturer (2002–2008) and interim lecturer (2008–2024) at the same school. He is currently an Assistant Professor (2024), and holds and accreditation as an associate professor. He has extensive teaching experience in courses related to sustainability, building services and environmental conditioning and building construction, among others. He is also a faculty member in the Master’s Degree in Architecture (professional qualification) and has taught in the Master's in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability, the Master's in Gastronomic Spaces, and the Master's in Housing at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). As a researcher, he is the author of more than 20 scientific publications, primarily journal articles and conference papers. He has supervised over 50 undergraduate and master's theses and is currently supervising two doctoral dissertations. In 2007, he curated the exhibition “Provocación Constructiva / Probokazio Konstruktiboa” on the architecture of Vorarlberg, Austria, organised by the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos Vasco-Navarro.



The Programme is being prepared
