The Basque-Navarre Official College of Architects (COAVN) is a public law corporation that operates throughout the Basque Autonomous Community and the Chartered Community of Navarre as a single professional association.
With a long-standing trajectory, COAVN is a well-established reference in defending the rights and interests of architects and citizens alike, as well as in upholding the social value of architecture and urban planning. It advocates for architectural quality and promotes the cultural, social, and environmental values of architecture for the benefit of society.
Currently, COAVN is part of the Higher Council of Colleges of Architects of Spain (CSCAE), the representative body of the colleges and the profession before public and private institutions, both nationally and internationally. Its central headquarters, the Dean’s Office, is located in Bilbao, and it has four delegations in Álava, Bizkaia, Navarre, and Gipuzkoa.
The Gipuzkoa Delegation of the Basque-Navarre Official College of Architects has as its main objective the defense of the interests of Gipuzkoan society. To this end, it ensures the proper professional practice of its registered members while also representing Gipuzkoan architects before institutions.
Its Sustainability Committee aims to address urban sustainability through an integrated approach and a holistic vision, fostering synergies among architecture professionals as well as among other professionals and entities working in favor of sustainability in Gipuzkoa.
