Ramon Faura

Ramon Faura Coll is a musician and Doctor of Architecture (ETSAB, UPC, 2013). He is the coordinator of the social area of the Elisava school; where he teaches classes related to design, architecture, technology theory and projects. He has taught at other universities such as ETSAB, ETSAR and Di Tella in Buenos Aires. Between 2003 and 2006 he was editor-in-chief of "Quaderns d'Arquitectura i urbanisme", the official journal of the Architects' Association of Catalonia.

He has curated exhibitions such as "Arquitectures sense lloc" (2009) at the Arts Santa Mónica centre (Barcelona) and FadFest 2018, dedicated to tourism. He has lectured at New York University, KTH in Stockholm, the School of Landscape Architecture in Dresden or the ETSAM. He has published articles in different media; chapters for collective books such as "Enric Miralles 1972-2000" (2011), "Cultura en tensión" (2016) or "Destino Barcelona, 1911-1991" (2018); and three monographs: "Louis XIV en Royal Costume: The Decapitation of the mystical body" (2010); "La máquina Versalles" (2014); "Desplazamiento y ruina" (2015). He has also directed a documentary on tourism, "L'Estat turístic" (2019).

In the musical field, he participated in the Domus Project (Illa Diagonal and Gracia Terrirori Sonor, 2010). As a professional, he has released eleven LPs with different groups (Yak 42, Macho, Le Petit Ramon and Azucarillo Kings) and has been in charge of production in eight of them.

He is currently working on the book "Desplazamiento y Ruina" about critical architecture and technology.
