Russell Loveridge is the Managing Director of the NCCR Digital Fabrication. He studied civil engineering and architecture, completed his professional bachelors degree in Toronto, Canada, his MAS Diploma in Architecture at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, and obtained his doctorate at the EPF Lausanne, Switzerland. He has worked professionally in construction and architecture, but also has extensive experience in academia and was previously the Research Director at the Laboratory for Architectural Production (LAPA) at the EPF Lausanne. Russell Loveridge is the NCCR Digital Fabrication’s Managing Director since its official start in 2014.
In his research he investigated advanced fabrication methods, smart materials, and digital construction techniques.
