Professor and art critic born in Tolosa (Guipuzkoa) on April 13th, 1946, into a family of merchants and men of letters.
He studied primary education in the Tolosa Piarist Fathers and San Sebastian Lasalle Brothers Schools, Humanities, Philosophy and Theology in the Santurrarán and San Sebastian Seminary (1958-71), Ecclesiastical Magisterium in Irún (1968) and Philosophy and Arts, specialising in History of Art, at the Central Barcelona University (1971-1976).
He was ordained as a priest in San Sebastian in 1971, and has exercised his ministry in Ripollet (Barcelona), Añorga Txiki (San Sebastian) and, since 2012, he is the priest at the Santa María del Coro Basilica (San Sebastian).
Nowadays he is the director of the San Sebastian Diocesan Museum.
