Jean Souviron

Jean Souviron (Oloron‑Sainte‑Marie, 1988) is an architect (2013), civil engineer (2016), and earned a PhD in architecture from the Université libre de Bruxelles in 2022 with a dissertation on 20th-century construction techniques, thermal comfort, and energy. He is currently a lecturer at ENSA Paris-Belleville and directs the postgraduate programme Architecture of the Planetary Boundaries at ENSA Paris-Est. He is an associate researcher at the OCS/AUSser laboratory and a fellow at the Collegium Helveticum in Zurich. His research focuses on the environmental impact of architectural solutions, with particular attention to the life cycle of glass, thermal efficiency, and the role of energy policies. He has worked at offices such as Transsolar, Leicht, and Elioth, and collaborated with Atelier Julien Boidot on a project awarded by the RIBA. Together with Raphaël Ménard, he curated the exhibition “Énergies légères”, brought to the 5th edition of Mugak.
