Participants

Lacol/ Cristina Gamboa

Lacol is a working cooperative in which they work with architecture for social transformation, using it as a tool for critical intervention in the immediate environment. They believe that the way to transform the city is through the active participation of the people who live there and through proactive action. Their activity links architecture, urban planning, housing policies and participatory processes, blurring the limits of each discipline to define a transversal and participatory approach. Based on a horizontal work system, with the motivation and challenge of achieving a transition towards sustainability, in its broadest sense, political, social, economic and environmental.? Cristina Gamboa is an architect and teacher. She studied at the School of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB) and the University of Stuttgart. Cristina is co-founder of Lacol, where she specialises in cooperative housing. She currently teaches at the Architectural Association (Mphil Projective Cities) and the Barcelona School of Architecture (PIII-PIV Contemporary Collective Housing).
