Miguel Ángel Soto Caba (Greenpeace)

Miguel Ángel Soto Caba holds a Bachelor in Biological Sciences from the Complutense University of Madrid, Specialist in Territorial Planning from the Polytechnic University of Valencia, Degree in Environmental Education from the Spanish National Distance University (UNED) and Specialist in Corporate Social Responsibility from the CSR Observatory.

He has spent part of his working life in research and documentation work in public centres (CSIC, ICONA) and in the private sector, especially in the planning of protected natural areas and land-use planning.

Since 1998 he has been responsible for forest campaigns in Greenpeace Spain, undertaking research and campaigning work on national issues such as forest fires, the fight against illegal logging, deforestation and the protection of primary forests in regions such as the Amazon, the Congo Basin, Southeast Asia and the boreal forests of Finland and Canada. 

It currently combines its work on international forestry issues with monitoring the environmental and social performance of the corporate sector, promoting due diligence laws and regulatory frameworks for corporate accountability.
