Guillermo López

Editor, architect and co-founder of MAIO, an architecture studio located in Barcelona that works on spatial systems and has developed a wide range of projects, from furniture or exhibition design to housing blocks and urban planning.

He combines his professional activity with editorial, translation and research assignments. From 2011-2016, he was the editor of the Quaderns d’Arquitectura i Urbanisme magazine [Journal of Architecture and Urban Planning], published by the Professional Association of Catalan Architects. At present, he teaches at the Architectural Association and the Barcelona School of Architecture ETSAB-UPC. He has also been a jury member in several occasions, including the FAD Award to Thought and Criticism. 

He will be participating in the Summer Course of the Basque Country University UPV/EHU 2019: RE-housing: 1st Housing Lab in the Basque Country with the lecture 'The house without shape'.
