He has directed b720 Arquitectos since its foundation, together with Ana Bassat, in 1997.
He is the author of some of the most emblematic architectural projects built in Spain in the last twenty years. His work has received numerous international awards and has been the subject of international publications and exhibitions in institutions such as the Pompidou Center in Paris and the MOMA in New York. He has been the partner of reference for some of the most prestigious international architects in singular projects in Spain.
Fermín Vázquez combines professional practice with teaching. He has taught at the Barcelona School of Architecture, the École d'Architecture et de Paysage de Bordeaux, the European University of Madrid and has given courses and lectures at universities and institutions around the world. He currently teaches at the IE School of Architecture in Madrid. He regularly publishes articles in international architectural journals and publications.
