The tour of the past, present and future of the Bilbao estuary is now available.

  • The documentary, produced by Caminos Euskadi and the Port Authority of Bilbao as part of the Bilbao Metrópoli-30 project, shows a virtual tour of the Estuary, with the aim of getting to know its past, experiencing its present and imagining its future.

On 7 November, the programme began as part of the project presented by Bilbao Metrópoli-30 at this Mugak/ Biennial. Under the name 'The Bilbao estuary as a strategic axis for reconstructing, re-inhabiting and rethinking the metropolitan urban space', it brings together numerous activities to reflect on this iconic area of Bilbao as an opportunity for the city.

The first activity within this programme was the presentation of 'Past, present and future of the estuary', a virtual tour with the aim of getting to know its past, experiencing its present and imagining its future. The tour was created by Caminos Euskadi and the Port Authority of Bilbao, with old images owned by the Port Authority of Bilbao, and is now available online:
