ISEA Eco-CoHousing Course Proposals 2022/23

During the 2022-2023 academic year, the 3rd year Interior Design students at IDarte face the challenge of participating in the Intergenerational Eco Co-Housing project, an initiative promoted by the Arrasate Town Council and financed by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and the Adinberri Foundation.

The Project forms part of the "Hariak - Gipuzkoa's strategy in the face of solitude", promoted by ADINBERRI Fundazioa and the "Intergenerational Gipuzkoa" Project, promoted by the Department of the Provincial Council and ADINBERRI Fundazioa in the context of the Plan Etorkizuna Eraikiz.

Continuing the collaboration started the previous year with the ISEA cooperative, the students face the challenge of presenting proposals from the field of design that can respond to the demand for housing for the elderly, interior public spaces and environments that favour well-being and youth; as well as the configuration of that in the development of people and their relationships.

To this end, taking as a starting point the preliminary project drawn up by Krean for the Colegio de la Merced building in Arrasate, IDarte presents five design proposals for intergenerational spaces that offer, from an academic point of view, interior design solutions or concepts that can serve as a reference, even generating new ideas in the subsequent development of the project.

This exhibition includes the audiovisual work carried out by the student Maddi Goikoetxea Goiogana (@m_goiogana) on the same theme. It highlights the approach that the student of the interior design speciality makes from her point of view as a professional photographer.
