Christian Kerez’s projects look different to one another. They show an ongoing investigation into defining space in varying, even contradictory ways. The difference between these projects is not the result of a contextual approach or programmatic adaptation to changing conditions. Despite the difference between a given program or site, Kerez’s projects still refer to each other in a nonlinear logic. In conversation with Maria Esnaola and through a careful questioning of images of his work and his own photography, this colloquium will reveal the common quest for a specific experience of the architectural space.
