LIVING THE HETEROGENEOUS
The term heritage is polysemic, and in this sense offers different faces and facets. Beyond elements of special archaeological or historical interest, heritage today must be understood as the playing field, as the framework in which architecture operates. The designer's blank sheet of paper no longer exists, and the physical, cultural, social, climatic, political and economic contexts constitute the heritage that architecture must manipulate in the search for a more open and heterogeneous city.
