EIDE — the Basque Design Association — will present a research, reflection, and experimentation project on the creative valorization of waste, carried out within the framework of the inauguration of the Waste Lab Bizkaia. This initiative, promoted by the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, positions EIDE as a connector between the Cultural and Creative Industries and sustainability.
In this lecture, some local, national, and international examples of recycling and upcycling in architecture, art, crafts, interior design, and design will be shared. The session will also showcase the collective process of reflection and experimentation captured in the video From Waste to Treasures, which will be screened throughout the biennial in the exhibition space of the Etxenoi installation.
