The Narrative of the Inverted Tents - Aristide Antonas

As part of the central exhibition of the Mugak/ International Architecture Biennale of the Basque Country, architect, philosopher, and artist Aristide Antonas will deliver the lecture The Narrative of the Inverted Tents. During his presentation, Antonas will explain the concept and genesis of this installation, which forms part of the biennale’s main exhibition, and will delve into the ideas underpinning his project: the reactivation of semi-abandoned urban spaces, the inversion of conventional spatial hierarchies, and the creation of new conditions for collective interaction within deteriorated urban contexts.

The lecture will provide a unique opportunity to understand the theoretical background and design strategies of The Inverted Tents, as well as how this installation invites a rethinking of the relationship between inhabitation, infrastructure, and community.
