El laberinto del homo ludens: la Nueva Babilonia de Constant - Juan Pro

Nico Koster (photographer): Constant amongst his models, Klein Labyr and Spatiovore [V] at his studio Wittenburg, Amsterdam, circa 1968. CID 6559.

When Humanity finally reaches the future of harmony and happiness that all utopias have promised us, where will it live? In the 1960s, when that utopian future seemed within reach, Dutch artist Constant Nieuwenhuys designed the habitat for the life of freedom, creativity and play that awaited homo ludens. That habitat, which he called New Babylon, would extend through a world without borders, like a network inspired by the idea of the labyrinth, designed to facilitate unexpected encounters.
